• Music - Mitch Reed Benefit for BArT Arts Programming, 8 PM, Bountifare Restaurant (Adams, MA), $20 at the door, $15 in advance, 413-743-7311, ext 532, BArT will host Cajun fiddler Mitch Reed as part of a weeklong artist in-residency at our school. A member of the Grammy Award-winning zydeco band BeauSoleil, Mr. Reed will spend the week of March 1st through 5th introducing BArT students to Cajun history and culture through music and stories. Mr. Reed will offer workshops, visit classes, and engage students in music making. The project is funded in part by a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council. Mitch Reed currently plays with BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet, where he has performed on four Grammy Nominated albums including “Live at the 2008 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival” which won a Grammy Award in 2009.
