First United Methodist Church: American Jazz Repertory Orchestra, plus local all-stars Charlie Tokarz, Gary Miller, Andy Kelly, and Vikki True. The two-part program will feature (1) vocal and instrumental selections from “the great American songbook,” plus (2) a tribute to the big-band era. Comprising first-chair musicians and top soloists from the NY area, The American Jazz Repertory Orchestra plays the original arrangements of Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Woody Herman, and Stan Kenton.
